A tradesman has been injured after falling between two to three metres down an elevator shaft in Adelaide's CBD this afternoon.
The man fell down the shaft at the State Administration Centre – which houses the office of South Australian Premier Steven Marshall – at Victoria Square earlier this afternoon.

The rescue mission to free the man took more than 90 minutes.

Other staff onsite at the centre raised the alarm and notified authorities, however, it is not known how long the man was trapped for.

He has been taken to hospital and is believed have suffered spinal injuries.
